Formaldehyde Gas Detector(CHO2 Detectors)

Formaldehyde is a colorless and irritating gas, easily soluble in water and ethanol, and can burn. The vapor and air form an explosive mixture. The explosion limit is 7%-73% (volume), and the ignition point is about 300°C. Formaldehyde is a kind of carcinogen and also a toxic and harmful water pollutant. Various forms of formaldehyde are highly toxic to all animals and can cause headaches, difficulty breathing and burning of the throat. Formaldehyde is naturally present in the environment and is also widely used in many industrial applications.

Formaldehyde solution is usually used as a disinfectant to kill most bacteria and fungi. It can also be used to preserve tissues or cells for scientific analysis. The most common sources of formaldehyde exposure are inhalation through thermal/chemical decomposition of formaldehyde-based resins or emissions from formaldehyde solutions.
